Free Paper Presentations

We invite the submission of abstracts for Free Paper Presentations in the field of spine surgery, including both original research and case-based presentations such as case studies and interesting clinical cases. All submissions will undergo peer review and will be evaluated based on the criteria and format below.

🔍 ABSTRACT CATEGORIES ACCEPTED

Submissions may include:

  • Original clinical or laboratory research

  • Retrospective/prospective studies

  • Case-control or cohort studies

  • Biomechanical research

  • Case reports and interesting clinical cases that highlight unusual presentations, rare diagnoses, innovative surgical approaches, or complex decision-making in spine surgery.

 

📊 ABSTRACT EVALUATION CRITERIA

 

1. Scope & Relevance

Topics must be relevant to spine surgery and may include (but are not limited to):

  • Surgical techniques

  • Biomechanics

  • Spine trauma

  • Spinal deformity

  • Tumor

  • Degenerative conditions

  • Pediatric spine

  • Non-operative care

  • Surgical outcomes

  • Case-based learning

  • Emerging technology/Artificial Intelligence

 

2. Originality & Educational Value

  • Research abstracts must offer novel data, insights, or techniques.

  • Case presentations should present unique, instructive, or rare cases with clear take-home messages and clinical relevance.

 

3. Scientific & Clinical Rigor

  • Clearly stated objectives or clinical dilemmas

  • Appropriate methodology and logical structure (for research)

  • Sound diagnostic work-up and management plan (for cases)

  • Valid conclusions and learning points

 

4. Ethics & Disclosures

  • IRB/ethical approval required for studies involving human or animal subjects

  • Clinical trial registration if applicable

  • Conflict of interest and financial disclosures for all authors

 

5. Presenter Eligibility

  • Presenting author must be one of the listed authors and should be underlined in the submission.

  • Presenter must register and attend the congress.

 

📝 ABSTRACT FORMAT & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Language: English only

  • Submission method: Online submission (Click Here)

  • Word limit: Maximum 350 words (including title)

  • Title: In bold uppercase letters

  • Abstract Format/Template: Must follow the "Unstructured (no headings required)" 

  • No images, graphs, tables, or references allowed

  • Accuracy: Authors are responsible for correct spelling, grammar, and scientific/clinical content

  • Originality: Work must be unpublished; case reports must not have been presented elsewhere

  • Author Contribution: The majority of the work must be performed by the submitting author

  • Upon submission, authors grant the organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, publish, and display the abstract

 

📑 REVIEW & SELECTION PROCESS

All abstracts will undergo blinded peer review by a panel of spine surgery experts. Evaluation will be based on:

  • Relevance to spine surgery

  • Scientific or educational value

  • Innovation and clinical impact

  • Clarity and format compliance

 

✅ Accepted abstracts will be invited for oral presentation during the Free Paper Sessions. Top-rated submissions may be selected for podium presentation.
