Dear Colleagues and Partners,

On behalf of the Asia Pacific Spine Society (APSS), it is my great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the APSS Annual Scientific Meeting 2026, to be held in the beautiful city of Cebu, Philippines.

The APSS Annual Scientific Meeting has always served as a premier platform for spine surgeons, researchers, and allied professionals across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond to exchange knowledge, share innovations, and strengthen professional collaboration. The 2026 meeting in Cebu continues this proud tradition, bringing together leaders and emerging voices in spine care to discuss the latest advances in clinical practice, research, education, and technology.

This year, our scientific programme will spotlight the transformative role of technology in spine care. We will explore how innovations such as robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) are revolutionizing surgical practice, improving patient outcomes, reducing procedural risks, and minimizing surgical trauma. These advancements are reshaping the management of all major spinal conditions, including degenerative, neoplastic, developmental, and traumatic diseases. Sessions will highlight the integration of cutting-edge technologies into traditional topics, demonstrating their impact on diagnosis, surgical planning, intraoperative precision, and postoperative recovery.

Cebu, known as the “Queen City of the South,” offers not only a rich cultural heritage and warm Filipino hospitality, but also an ideal setting for meaningful academic exchange and collegial interaction. We are confident that this meeting will provide an inspiring environment for scientific learning and professional growth.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Local Organizing Committee, Scientific Committee, and all our partners for their dedication and hard work in preparing this meeting. Their commitment ensures a high-quality scientific program that reflects the mission and values of APSS—to advance spine care through education, research, and collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region.

I encourage all participants to actively engage in scientific sessions, discussions, and social events, and to take full advantage of this opportunity to learn from one another and to build strong regional and international networks.

I look forward to welcoming you personally to Cebu in 2026 and to another successful and memorable APSS Annual Scientific Meeting.

Very truly yours,

PROF. YAT WA WONG
