Dr. Jose Manuel F. Ignacio is a distinguished Filipino orthopaedic spine surgeon and academic leader specializing in spinal deformity, cervical spine surgery, degenerative disorders, spinal tumors, and spinal infections. He currently serves as Associate Professor and former Head of the Spine Section of the Department of Orthopedics at the University of the Philippines–Philippine General Hospital and is also Head of Orthopedic Spine at the Institute of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine of St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City. Dr. Ignacio is a founding member and former head of Continuing Medical Education of the Philippine Spine Society and has held leadership roles within AO Spine East Asia and the Asia Pacific Spine Society (APSS). Widely recognized for his contributions to spine surgery education and research in the Philippines, he has authored scientific publications on spinal fusion, vertebral augmentation, and minimally invasive spine procedures while actively mentoring the next generation of Filipino spine surgeons.
