Prof. Yoshiharu Kawaguchi is Professor and Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Toyama, Japan. He obtained his MD and PhD from Toyama Medical & Pharmaceutical University and has held progressive academic appointments, including research fellowship training in Sweden. A leading figure in spine surgery, he has served as Education Chair of AO Spine Asia Pacific and currently holds key leadership roles including Honorary Secretary of the Asia Pacific Spine Society (APSS) and Trustee of the AO Foundation. Prof. Kawaguchi is an active contributor to global spine research and education, serving as Chief Editor and Deputy Editor of multiple international journals and a reviewer for numerous high-impact publications.
