Prof. Yong-Chan Kim is Head of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and a spine surgeon at the Spine Center of Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong, South Korea. He also serves as Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Kyung Hee University College of Medicine. With more than 20 years of experience in spine surgery, his expertise includes spinal deformity, scoliosis, kyphosis, adult spinal deformity, degenerative spine disease, spinal tumors, infections, and osteoporosis-related spinal conditions. Prof. Kim obtained his PhD from Ajou University College of Medicine and completed advanced orthopaedic and spine training at Kyung Hee University, with additional international academic experience at Columbia University, USA. A prolific researcher with over 80 peer-reviewed publications, his academic work focuses on sagittal balance, proximal junctional kyphosis, spinal osteotomy techniques, and postoperative recovery strategies in complex spine surgery.
