Dr. Jean Pierre F. Leung is a distinguished Filipino orthopaedic and spine surgeon recognized for his expertise in spine trauma, pediatric orthopaedics, limb reconstruction, and complex musculoskeletal care. A graduate of the prestigious INTARMED Program of the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, he was awarded Most Outstanding Medical Graduate before completing his orthopaedic residency at the UP–Philippine General Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident and received multiple Outstanding Resident awards. Dr. Leung pursued extensive international fellowship training, including a Sofamor Danek Spine Fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, a Pediatric Orthopaedic and Spine Fellowship at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an Orthopaedic Trauma and Joint Replacement Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, and an EFORT Travelling Fellowship in the United Kingdom. He is currently affiliated with Baguio General Hospital, Benguet General Hospital, and Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital, where he manages complex spine trauma and orthopaedic conditions. Dr. Leung is an active member of numerous subspecialty organizations, including the Philippine Spine Society (PSS), Philippine Orthopaedic Trauma Society (POTS), Philippine Orthopaedic Society for Pediatric Orthopedics (POSP), Association for the Study and Application of the Method of Ilizarov (ASAMI), and the Philippine Hip and Knee Society (PHKS). He also serves as Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics at Notre Dame de Chartres Hospital and is widely respected for his contributions to orthopaedic education, trauma care, and spine surgery in Northern Luzon.
