Dr. Paul Julius A. Medina is a Filipino orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in spine surgery, minimally invasive spinal procedures, spinal trauma, infections, oncology, and degenerative spinal disorders. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency training at the Philippine Orthopedic Center (POC) and further pursued advanced fellowship training in spine surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital in the United Kingdom. Based in Iligan City, Dr. Medina is recognized as one of Northern Mindanao’s leading spine specialists and currently practices at Mercy Community Hospital, Adventist Medical Center–Iligan, Iligan Medical Center & Hospital, Dr. Uy Hospital, and St. Francis Doctors’ Hospital & Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the Philippine Orthopaedic Association (FPOA), Fellow of the Philippine College of Surgeons (FPCS), and an active member of the Philippine Spine Society (PSS), where his subspecialty focus is listed under Surgical Infections, Minimally Invasive, Oncology, and Trauma (SIMOT). In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Medina actively participates in regional and international spine education programs, including APSS and PSS operative courses and scientific meetings, contributing to the advancement of contemporary spine surgery in the Philippines.
