Dr. Kota Watanabe is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Keio University School of Medicine, Japan, and Director of the Scoliosis Treatment Center at Keio University Hospital. He earned his MD and PhD from Keio University and completed advanced training, including international fellowship experience at Washington University in St. Louis, USA. A recognized expert in spinal deformity, he holds key leadership roles in major international societies, including the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) and AO Spine, and serves on multiple national and international committees. His clinical and research focus is on spinal deformity, with active involvement in academic leadership and global spine initiatives.
